Caught The American by George Clooney last Tuesday at Shaw Bugis. Shaw Bugis is such an obscure theater that most does not even know of its existence even though there is a ticketing booth on the ground floor! The last movie I remembered watching at Shaw Bugis was King Kong! So anyway, I've always kinda like George Clooney as he exudes this charisma and sexayness! not to mention his intense stare is smoking hot! I had high expectations for this movie since the media gave it 3.4-4/5 popcorns which is realli quite a feat in my opinion. but i somewhat felt that the storyline was a little cliche. Clooney was a professional killer and when he wanna quit, the person whom he worked for attempted to kill him!  But during the movie, I was amazed by his ability to fix the gun from scratch basically from scrap from a used car workshop. The views of the quaint Italy town of Azzuro is beautiful as well! went to support dear sharlene for the GV beach babe contest and afterwhich we caught Piranha 3D. Dont you think the movie poster itself look very scary already? with all the open mouth piranha. eww.  Its definitely the most disgusting movie I've watched in 2010! cos i didnt catch SAW etc. There are lotsa gross pictures online as well but I didnt download them. I havent watched a movie in a long time! I'm really looking forward to watching this new movie! Zac Efron!! *Drools* In the movie, Charlie st. Cloud portrayed by Zac is torn between a promise he made to his brother and his newfound love. If I were him I'd be so torn apart! But nevertheless, I'd vote for Charlie to choose his newfound love! Not another 3D movie, when the first 3D movie came out in the monsters vs aliens time a yr or 2 ago, i was very excited. i tot it would be one of the few 3D movie tt comes out once in a blue moon. who knows now every other movie is a 3D movie ||-_- So The Hole. Have you even heard of this movie?  I caught Chloe like 2 weeks ago cos there were other movies that interests me. like ong bak 3? eww.. plus the cast of chloe are pretty season actors! But cos I watched it in a Singapore cinema, despite being slapped with a R21 ratings, they went on to cut off some lesbian sex parts, making the movie very abrupt and i felt that it made no sense ||-_- I'd wish they kept them and i'd enjoy the inner conflict between the actors much more. i almost fell asleep during the movie =\  Amanda Seyfried is damn chio tho! =) Saturday, August 07, 2010
 Finally caught Despicable Me yesterday! I almost thought it would have ended it run by the time I am free to watch it! =) Its super unexpectedly farni! Though I never laugh out loud during the movie but the people around me certainly did and some even laughed and jerked and kept kicking P's chair in the process haha. I tot the movie would be lame and stuff cos the characters did not look especially fancy to me but aww i <3 the little Agnes girl in their tutus and the cat story book! =)  The minions are awesomely cute too!  Inception. Another fantabulous performance by Leonardo DiCaprio. He've definitely came a long way since the Titanic and The Beach days and it certainly showed he chooses his scripts every so wisely! I <3 shows that make you wonder what actually went on during the movie, in a good way of course. there are so many possibilities to the ending! However i felt that Shutter Island is still better than Inception. The suspense and the action made it more intriguing. I believe he is in a constant state of limbo and he dreamt of everything. Caught Predators courtesy of Fox Movies. before the movie i tot it was an indepedent movie, but it turns out that the characters are part of those aliens, alien vs predators installment of films. The movie was gory and the best part of the movie is prob adrien brody's hot bod caked in mud. other than that, its very much a GUY movie. the ending is not conclusive and depressing. the humans cant seem to leave the weird planet at all. What do you do when theres no WC at night and you suffer from withdrawal symptoms such as nt being able to slp at 230am? Go watch a movie =) I am surprised but P agreed to watch Eclipse with me! For most part the movie is really dumb and boring. no offence but they keep harping on the same subject of bella's husband to be, who it is gonna be when she explicitly chose Edward. Its almost like watching Korean/ TW drama..  There are beautiful scenes in the movie though such as the one of them rolling ard in the flowery grass patch below. i wished singapore had such a grass patch too! =) haha  Monday, July 05, 2010
kunnie and i watch knight and day tgt after our high tea =) personally i didnt have high hopes for this movie cos the movie poster is not telling and they banked on a listers names for this movie. there are so many movies featuring a listers but turned out to be a flop!  Surprisingly the movie turned out okay! as it not bad even. kunnie was all gushing abt how suave tom cruise was but it was obvious age has taken a toll on his body. though he still pack a punch, saggy muscles were noticeable. for most part of the movie, i wasnt sure if cruise was a good guy or not o wells at least the action scenes such as the one below is amazing. at the end of the movie, both characters retired to cape horn! i too wanna go to cape horn! =)  Labels: knight and day, movie Saturday, June 19, 2010
Finally the long awaited Toy Story 3! I'm quite surprised how some adults seem more excited abt the opening of this movie than the kids! prob cos this movie kinda grew up with us since my sec sch-jc days =) i have quite a vague impression of how the toy story movie goes but its crazy p who watch toystory 1 a total of 27 times in his life!  so this is of course a must watch for him. from wot i understood, the storyline is always about how the toys go missing and finally end up tgt again. but this movie really shows how scary toddlers are. omg! they are abusive to the toys! i used to have my toys and lots of plushies too, i wonder if my toys too can talk. i love the peas on a pod in the movie tho' despite their lack of appearance in the movie. There seem to be this kungfu movie trend lately! i managed to catch karate kid over the wkend compliments of my mommy's co welfare event =) I've watched the original version many years ago with the original cast as Mr miyagi and Daniel (the kid) however the plot was kinda hazy and i didn't have time to rewatch it before i watch this 2010 Jackie Chan and jayden smith version. but all's well =)  the setting, instead of USA, now it is Beijing china. and instead of learning karate, jayden smith learns Chinese kungfu! after i watched the show, i realised its amazing how kungfu is really not meant for fighting but is applicable to our everyday lives. kungfu teaches one to be discipline, calm, cool, benevolent and so much more. makes me so wanna really go china to learn kungfu. sad to say, I've never been to china and i was surprise to see that a school in Beijing having so many foreigners! I'd love to go see if there are indeed so many foreign talents in china!  as with all shows, the protagonist won in the end and I'm most impressed with jayden's sky kick! hes such a charming cute little boy! =) This is a good watch =)  Labels: karate kid, movie Wednesday, June 16, 2010
better late than never! i finally caught SATC2!!! omg! apart from all the louboutins and champange, this movie is totally bitchy and sexay! carrie looks exceptionally stunning in this teal chiffon dress!  the theme revolves ard marriage life, and its really interesting how different the 4 women are and yet they are such good friends! their holiday in abu dhabi is simply extravagant and flashy, but i like! it made the the boring sahara look so much cooler *no pun intended* and exciting! its definitely on my to visit list now! But i definitely dowan to be in one of those burqa. its so tiring eating fries having to open the veil for each fry you eat. anyway in a way this movie puts down the muslim way of life which i felt was nt very politically correct.  but no one really cares. i would love to enjoy macaroons and fruits and champange in the middle of the tent in the dessert! that definitely looks like heaven on earth!  even as carrie brawshaw is the ever fashionista, i am definitely not rocking this newspaper cutout dress. =\  Labels: movie, sex and the city 2 Saturday, June 12, 2010

i cant help but watch at least a movie every week!! and the killers is out on! i've had my apprehension abt this movie cos its by the same director as the ugly truth which i've also watched and the lead actress is also the same! so i dowan to juz watch a carbon copy of the ugly truth, so any i took the plunge cos i'm nt interested in the prince of persia and i've to wait for kunnie and bestie for satc2.  the major highlight of the movie has definitely gotta be mr kutcher's absolutely to die for hot bod! =) he had this suave clean shaven professional look in the movie and being a super loving husband and a homebody doesnt hurt either! *woots* i follow aplusk on twitter and read that he actually convince the previous owner and bought the piece of land where he and mrskutcher first dated so that he can build a house on it! omg! hes so so so sweet! love really transcends everything! and demi moore is definitely one lucky woman! =)  his uber cool bdae celebration in the movie! this movie is hilarious, thrilling and heartwarming at the same time! =)  Friday, June 04, 2010
 its a movie made out of DC comics! the other comic super giant after marvel who gave us ironman etc. this movie is surprisingly nice. quite a bit of the jokes are racish indian jokes. heh. but other than the jokes and the superb action, the storyline is weird. i guess its a comic makebelieve world, so if we were to put it into our real life, we cannot imagine dissolving an entire island etc. the lady in the show is really agile and she kickass!  maybe i had too much on my mind or shrek is really not as nice as it used to be. having princess fiona prancing ard like zena doesnt quite go down so well with me. the little shreks are majorly cute tho! esp shrek's daughter's shrek softtoy!! =) my fave character in the movie has gotta b puss in boots!!! hes so cute so adorable so huggable so fat!!! omg! and the o so cute bambi pleading eyes. aww... *melts* they shld feature more of puss! =))so if ur nt intending to watch this movie, its juz abt shrek having kids and leading the normal friendly dude nxt door's kinda like, undergoing male menopause and wondering if tts wot he really wanted to do wif his life. he yearned to go bk to his virile youth where ppl scream and run away at the sight of him. so he gt trick to sign a ctt wif the baddie such tt he was nvr born at all, and the universe is all anti-shrek. he went thru alot of trouble to gt fiona to fall in love wif him again cos the only way to break the curse is to have true love's kiss. but alas, eh gt the kiss and woke up and realise it was juz a dream.. princeofpersia i prefer to remain optismistic but i do have an event that i'd like to change if i had a dagger like Dastan (Jake Gyllenhaal) in the Prince of Persia, I'd definitely go back to 31st Jan 2010, my ROM day to change my hairdo. =\ I think i look super duper old that day. perhaps i am nt suitable for makeup in general. i remember there's another instance my mom brought me to do makeup b4 my uncle's wedding, i tot i look like ru hua, but i couldnt juz rub off the paint on my face. haha =) now tt my leave is almost nearing, i cant wait to catch all the movies in town! “Catch Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Movie starting from 27th May 2010 and join the official Facebook and Twitter page!” Monday, May 17, 2010
 so anyway since i dont have time to upload the pixs of the trip, i shall talk abt the movie i caught during the trip instead. crossing henessy. most ppl tend nt to watch chinese movies cos they gt shown on tv during the nxt cny or woteva really fast or u can even watch the hd version on tudou even. but i almost nvr watch tv show cep when i ran out of bks to read and i seldom watch stuff on my com now. so i am limited to watching movies. surprisingly i kinda like this show, tho i dont really understand the meaning behind the entire show. i guess there are some characters put there to represent sth but i juz cant figure it out and i dont have time to google. but i think jacky cheung's acting is gd! its a romance film and some of whom i watched the movie wif fell asleep ||-_- *ah guys will always b guys* and i watched this movie in cantonese! i <3 watching un-dubbed movies! =) Labels: movie |
