We feel lonely, sometimes to the point of tears, but we don’t let those tears come because we are not supposed to cry. Or how we feel a surge of love for a partner but we don’t say anything because we’re frozen with the fear of what those words might do to the relationship.

All in an afternoon's work! Cos theres really limited stuff one can do in Kuching if you are not on those day tour, we settled to walk ard the town ourselves! Thankfully, all the attractions are within walkable distance and with the trusty map provided by our friendly hostel owner, we headed for lunch after the lousy bazaar.
We were to hungry to think so we juz headed into an empty restaurant, it was way after lunch by then and it was unsurprising that the restaurants are empty =)
P's longan lime juice and I had ribena+sprite. Definitely a good way to cool down.
My Nasi Campur or sth, i forgot wots its exact name, but looks totally like cai png. the egg with long beans is nice and the chicken too! =) i dont eat veggie so i passed them on to P hurhur.
P's Kampung fried rice. The fried chicken in tomato sauce is totally yummy! the fried rice is with chili padi and is TOTALLY fiery!
Energized, we carry on walking according to the map! Their cityhall, where alot of major events were held during the British Occupation. Now its converted into a function hall of sorts where one can rent to hold their weddings.
The city hall is super big and deep inside. I <3 especially the long hallways with alabaster white pillars.
Adj to it is India Street cos there's an indian mosque within! Its one of the typical street selling local knick knacks such as pasar malam tshirt where we usually wouldnt buy. but theres a particular shop, a baking shop that had me wandering inside for a good 20mins! =)
The empty street with shops on both sides =)
This leads to an Indian mosque inside =)
Saw a pasar malan-like street and we promptly headed that way!
Deep Fried Crabmeat + Coconut Juice = Happy P!
There were lotsa street hawkers selling Gambir: A potent drug for the male species.
More fried food! =) Wanted to try the speciality deep fried champedak but we tot that it will be too heaty =\

Super retro supermarket. It was threatening to rain on us!
Spotted! lalang patch outside the supermarket! so pretty. Tuas used to be like that until industrialization took over.
so we hopped over to take photo. it'd b prettier to take in the middle of the lalang patch but i was afraid of snakes or wot ever one may find inside.
Kuching stands for the cityof cats! even the manhole covers have cats imprinted on them =)
