We feel lonely, sometimes to the point of tears, but we don’t let those tears come because we are not supposed to cry. Or how we feel a surge of love for a partner but we don’t say anything because we’re frozen with the fear of what those words might do to the relationship.

I was looking through my photos and i realised there are so many random eats thus this will be a consolidated entry of all the yummy food =))
I <3 dessert so i'll start with dessert first. I read abt this ice cream parlor quite some time back but its v ulu-ed. p and i ventured there once in the past but couldnt find it. so we had some time on our hand while waiting for bestie to gt ready one day, we decide to explore on foot instead!!
7th heaven. the outside. its empty on a sat afternoon cos its so ulu.
A peek into their kitchen, look at the array of alcohol on the bottom right! they actually specialise in alcoholic icecream and made all the icecream themselves. think udders, the daily scoop and island creamery. havent we gt sick of the others? and i was surprise to see a man pop in and have a takeaway. apparently they do customisation of icecream depending on your preference! awesome! =))
this is wot i ordered. most of the dessert have specified waiting time, ie the brownie icecream have a wait time of 15mins and i didnt have so much time on hand so i opted for the old sch icecream sandwich. i tot it is juz normal bread with icecream but the bread is toasted as well! omg! the bread is sweet warm n yummy! the chocolate i have chosen is sea salted caramel =) yums! i think its a match make in heaven for the bread + the caramel =)
upon perusing the menu, i also noted that they have a competition to finish 34 scoops (3 litres) in 20 or 25 mins. If u can finish its free. If not a penalty of $68 will be imposed. like wow!!! i wonder if anyone could do it! =) i definitely cant cos i have sensitive tooth =\
P ordered the waffle with peanut butter icecream. the waffle is the dense type of waffle as opposed to gelare so it aint my cup of tea but the icecream is yummy! there are even bits of nuts in it!
i <3 this icecream shop cos they are 真才实料! hope i used the correct chinese words. i guess they must b having smooth business considering how long they have survived. who wanna go bk with me to try other flavours?!!
my other long time fave dessert shop is Tong Heng! Located juz outside maxwell hawker center. I have been eating their egg tarts since i was young cos they are my mom's fave too. the egg tart started out as 80c each and now its 1.20 each!! but its so yummy i juz couldnt resist. the cruse is the flaky kind as opposed to the cookie crust kind. apart from egg tart, they also serve lots of other treats!
and this is mine mine mine. hahaha. i am very selective with the egg tarts i eat so this is one of them in my must eat list!
if you like kueh kueh, you must visit this nonedescript shop at maxwell food center. they are closed on sunday and sold out by lunch time on the days they are opened. its my folks's fave shop so on sat, we'll drive down all the way for juz their ondeh ondeh and tapioca cake! there's always a non-stop queue in front of their stall until they sold out!
we were there at ard 10ish on sat afternoon and there's nt much left! luckily we managed to gt wot we wanted! =))
main course time! =) i <3 fish soup and amoy have 2 of them! there are so many yummy food at amoy but i'm a boring person.
so here's piao ji's fish soup. the cheapest start from $5 and we were their first customer on a fine sat! we bot both the normal one and the promfret one $10. so this is the promfret one! =) though a little on the ex side, its realli yummy. i remember reading b4 tt is piao ji is no2, there's no no1! you have to try the fish soup to find out!
lor mee is one of my fave food but this is nt my fave stall. but its good enough to have my parents come back again and again. situated at the 2nd floor of amoy hawker center spanning 2 shopfront with numerous helpers and long queues during wkday lunch. this is it! there's juz nt enough vinegar and the fried bits for my liking but its worth a try!
my virgin tian tian experience. omg i'm so slow. but whenever i am there, they are either not opened yet or closed aldy. so you can imagine my excitement when i saw they are still opened on a sat afternoon! The famous blue shopfront!
The yummy chicken hanging there, soon to be in my tummy!
tian Tian is so yummy, it boast Anthony bourdain and the chef of Tetsuya as their fan! I read an article on Tetsuya Wakuda where they gave him 2 packets of chicken rice, one of which was Tian Tian's and the other one is from random chicken rice shop and he managed to identify which one belonged to tian tian! omg!
so after abt 10mins wait, this is ours! the rice is frangrant and yummy + the chicken is done to perfection. i watched a tv prog on ch8 b4 and noted tt only sea ppl eat slightly undercooked chicken (ie with pinkish parts/ blood at the bones area) while angmoh eat well done chicken. =) i am so craving for this right now! in fact when we were there, i saw a hk tv star who acts calefare for most roles but i couldnt recall her name! like wow! =)
