We feel lonely, sometimes to the point of tears, but we don’t let those tears come because we are not supposed to cry. Or how we feel a surge of love for a partner but we don’t say anything because we’re frozen with the fear of what those words might do to the relationship.

last thur apart from the jpcc is chiewlins bdae! *grins* i <3 bdae celebration cos tt means gd food is involved! =)
so we trudged over to the newly open parco millenia mall for some yummy japanese lovin'. this was one of the 2 jap restaurants featured on 8day last wk. one of which is almost empty while the other one has gt a queue outside. we desperately wanted to try the one with the queue to see wots the hype abt. typical singaporeans. but our growling stomache stopped us from joining the queue so we strolled into the other ramen joint.
a peak at the menu of this 1 mth old ramen restaurant. pictureless menu. but to summarise there are juz 4 types of ramen each with diff ingredients, ramen with wantan, ramen with chicken, plain ramen and ramen special (which is ramen with all the sides). the 2 diff soup base avail is prawn stock and prawn miso. prawn miso is for those who are nt a big fan of prawn. so since the prawn ramen special is nt much more expensive than the others, the 5 of us ordered the special with 3 of us opting for spicy ramen broth.
green tea come in pots like this enuff for approx 3 cups. they dont refill the green tea but they do refill with hot water which is essentially the same? cos the refilled pot's green tea is as flavourful as the original.
appetizer to start off the meal. deep fried prawn with mayo. this is super nice! most restaurants have this, but the flour to prawn proportion is always more flour than prawn but this is juz nice! =) yums! this is definitely a must order.
prawn spring roll. prawn again? yes other than plain rice, every other thing served in this restaurant involves prawn. i guess this is definitely nt the place to bring ur friend who is allergic to prawn.
that aside, imo, there's nth fantastic abt this prawn spring roll. perhaps i've always nt bn a fan of spring roll. 2 spring roll cost $6 but the waitress have kindly helped us cut it up to share. =) i couldnt really taste the prawn.
and the special ramen! the red thread is nt saffron but real thin chilli threads that is really not spicy at all. the soup base is really prawny!
the ramen! <3 yummy!
this is my spicy ramen, see the dulop of chilli padi in the foreground? i juz mixed everything in without thinking. thankgod its nt v spicy. in fact i'd consider tt mildly spicy only. jap dont take spicy food anyway. but yums i <3 the spicy prawn soup. within the soup there are wantans, cabbage slices, chicken slices and some mince pork?
this is the additional meat tt came with the special mee. i <3 the pickled veg and the chicken. it tasted like our local hainanese chicken. and of cos my fave has gotta be the ramen egg! =)
so at $20 a bowl is this juz a very expensive prawn mee? or a good ramen? i am not sure. the food is definitely good but i'm nt so sure i will go bk so soon considering the limited selection on the menu. i will definitely go back earlier one day to try the other long queue ramen! =)
and we saw this when we finished our meal ||-_- they should place it in more prominent places in the future such as in the middle of the table. i'd definitely ask for one if i saw this.
