We feel lonely, sometimes to the point of tears, but we don’t let those tears come because we are not supposed to cry. Or how we feel a surge of love for a partner but we don’t say anything because we’re frozen with the fear of what those words might do to the relationship.

I've been procastinating abt this blog post cos travel blog post is always accompanied with so many photos.
like some singaporeans p and i booked a trip to get out of the country for a 3 day wkend abroad during the not so recent NDP hols!
We took airasia and they only operate one flight per day to kuching and the flight is pretty late at 10pm so we had the time to eat my fave fave fave food! the Lor Mee at Bt Purmei =) I love this fried dough thing that is not very common in lor mee! drizzle it with lotsa garlic and vinegar and tuck in!
So after the hearty brekkie, we headed to the airport and the plane was slightly delayed. The comfy air asia flight! if i'm nt wrong, this is my first time taking airasia! I've to say their seats are so much better than that of Jetstar or Tiger. The seat next to me was empty! =)
Clear blue skies awaits us as we journey to west msia =)
Kuching Intl airport! The very simple trolled with no break system nor any advertisements.
We arranged for airport transfer which is juz a super friendly and informative cab driver assigned by the hostel! Look at the super informative cab! there's even maps and brochure on the backseat which provided me much entertainment in the 20mins drive to town =)
P's bored and refused to look at the cam.
The hostel room! we did quite a bit of research before settling on Lodge 121! All the furniture are Ikea made! the bed is soft n comfy and I <3 the pillows =) We got the ensuite room and it even has a seethrough shower.
In the morning, simple breakfast is provided consisting of coffee, tea, bread, kaya and butter =)
Our room is on the 3rd flr of the shophouse and theres even a chillax area outside our room where you can buy food and drinks to mingle with other guests =)
Nice soft light with high ceiling =)
The computer area if you didnt bring along your lappie, otherwise there's free wifi in the hostel as well.
The recep which operates 24hr a day and they even help you call cab and book those day tour. its super difficult to get cabs in kuching! i dunno where all of them go to! =\
Watercooler and other drinks/maggiemee that you can buy if you are lazy to get out.
The room key! and the entry pass to get into the hostel! super safe =)
The view from our room, not much of a skyline to speak off since we are not staying at hilton or wot.
So after resting for like 10mins, we headed out cos its lunchy lunchy and we are both hungry! our hostel is relatively near the waterfront, 15mins by foot =)
And this is the waterfront, the water is murky but the view is nt bad. we took this sampan on one of the days to gt over to the otherside of the river which is a malay village! the ride on the sampan cost RM50c! theres also sunset cruise available which will set you back by RM$60!
I figured tt its more cool taking the sampan =)
The hotel stretch of the waterfront.
The RM$60 cruise which we ALMOST took.
The new Parliment building. It looks very grand on its own!
Random sculpture along the waterfront
And it was getting really hot so we went into this waterfront bazaar. Its basically a tourist trap selling all sorts of handicraft and peppercorn! yes! Kuching is famous for producing peppercorns. but who gives peppercorns as holiday gifts..? We walked the entire bazaar in like 5 mins =) Then we headed across the street for food!
