We feel lonely, sometimes to the point of tears, but we don’t let those tears come because we are not supposed to cry. Or how we feel a surge of love for a partner but we don’t say anything because we’re frozen with the fear of what those words might do to the relationship.

We got the first flight out on jetstar which departs at 0715am which means we have to reach the airport at unearthly hour of 0515hrs. it was really bad for me cos the night before we watched the 0230hrs England world cup match. bah. so i had barely 2 hrs of slp. P's bestie drove us to the airport after the match. its so serene in the morning! i never wake up so early anymore. <3 the azure blue sky! =)
On the 2 hrs journey, i brought along a book to read but the passenger next to me struck a conversation with me and we ended up talking abt religion; Buddhism in general for 2 entire hours! p slept throughout the flight and was amaze to find me still talking to the grandfather when he woke up. so i was abit *seh* aldy by then and we proceed to our couch surfing host apt! they stay in an upmarket apt in the heart of their cbd. the lift panels! did you notice thais are superstitious people. there's no level 13 on their apt bldg!
an instruction in the lift. person age 12 are not allowed to enter the lift alone. :s /P entering the apt with our pwetty luggage/ the view from our room! the beautiful pool downstairs and this is juz half of it! / the apt from the outside!/ our room! see we really made ourselves comfortable by messing up the room alot haha.
after we got ourselves settled, we went out for brunch with our lovely host! we were so hungry that we totally forgot to take photos together! they brought us to this fusion thai restaurant which we tot was really cool! we dont have fusion thai here tho we have fusion jap and fusion chinese food.
my angel hair pasta with lotsa basil leaves and spicy to the boot red hot chilli padi! omg! the pasta is really yummy! despite picking out all the chilli padi, my tongue still burned to the maxxx! we ate at a shophouse near patpong area but there's a branch in MBK!
This was wot our host Tik ordered! its tom yam paella! i tot this was so unique, we are so used to the spanish paella and this juz adds a twist to it. otherwise it also kinda feels like chinese mui fan. the tom yam is basically simmered and reduced with corn starch to a pasty form and poured over cooked jasmine white rice! i really love this dish! i hope to be able to recreate this myself!
P's scallop crepe! He opted for something non-spicy and really enjoyed this dish! =) In general, the food is nice and inexpensive. the price is similar to cafe cartel i guess =)
After our lunch, we parted ways cos they went off to get groceries for the following week while they gave us directions to jutujak weekend market! or more commonly known as the chatuchak weekend market in singapore! we took the BTS which is similar to the MRT to Mo Chit station and walked abt 100m and saw this! mountains of succulent grapes! looks so absolutely yummy! they sells lotsa unique food there. i guess no one will be interested in stores of clothes after clothes so i'll let the photos do the talking! we had the quail eggs tho' they are super yummy! why dont ppl sell quail eggs like that in sg? i prob burst my cholesterol intake there by eating quail eggs almost daily. we also had coconut icecream! yummy! the weather was really favourable cos it drizzled for a bit off and on which kept the temperature down. otherwise we would have fainted from heatstroke or sth. there were stalls selling pig offal and all sorts stuff made from pumpkin!
we saw this fat black dog in one of the shop, i wanted to touch it but the owner told me it will bite. *tsk tsk* jutujak market is a fantabulous place to stock up your house with unique furniture too! see those vintage looking stand fans! and p was amazed by the variety of fake fruits and vegs for display purposes. before we left we bot this bowl of octupus egg thingy or sth seen in the last pix. tho we could really taste wot it was like, it was QQ and the sauce drizzled on it was tangy and yummy. i really enjoyed it but p didnt like it tho' boo.
