We feel lonely, sometimes to the point of tears, but we don’t let those tears come because we are not supposed to cry. Or how we feel a surge of love for a partner but we don’t say anything because we’re frozen with the fear of what those words might do to the relationship.

2nd day! We woke up really early and wanted to swim but it was raining =\ so here's the view from our villa! In the distance is the beach! =)
The swimmin pool at our doorstep! Theres no one swimming there cos it was drizzling.
Our 3 bedroom villa with Chop at the door!
Us before we checked out!
We headed to the Coffee Shop which is essentially the breakfast restaurant for our complimentary brekkie!
The crowd and the buffet line. The buffet line is not bad if you like bread, there is also omelette and porridge cereal etc.
Heres wot I got!, Fresh milk, Guava juice, beehoon, sausage, veggie, overly sweet bread pudding and omelette! =) We were all full to the brim!
Then we took a 90min drive to the town at Tanjong Pinang, the biggest town in Bintan and heres the sad looking 2 storey shopping center which in my opinion, is not even half as good as good ol' chinatown shopping center. Chop and Pit each got a watch while the rest looked on.
Riding is still the primary mode of transport in Bintan as the bus is infrequent and does not start if there are less than 10 passengers! Thats why I <3 SBS.
2nd disappointing mall. Ramayana, which is similar to Jusco. We bought countless bottles of the Mandi Lulur scrub after yesterday's wonderful scrubbing experience and we were famished so we got corn cup from a random booth! Its not obvious in the pix but they added condensed milk in the corn cup apart from butter! Initially I thought it was gonna be overly sweet but it turned out really yummy! =) Its a good suggestion to the pasar malam sellers!
The unknown restaurant we had our last meal in Bintan! Our driver recommended this place, he prob got commission or sth =)
Local Keropok! The prawn cracker is nice!
4 servings of rice in banana leaves
Kampung Chicken! The chicken there are all skinner than those we have in singapore but they all tasted not bad! I <3 anything with crumbs! =)
Sambal Pentai! This is my fave! We hardly get this dish in Singapore and according to Pit, pentai is expensive but its really good for clearing the toxins in the body!
Fried Tofu with filling!
Here's the filling inside! Although its nice and crispy but I just didnt like the combination of this.
Calamari! This is their small portion and its really alot! Seafood must be cheap in Bintan!
Fruits! =)
The entire meal cost us approx S$30 in total and we couldnt finish so we dapaoed for the driver. The meal is exclusive of the Beer. We bought the beer from duty free in SG ferry terminal before we left. Its a tip cos alcohol is ex in Bintan!
Then it was journey back to the ferry terminal! This 'custom' like thingy separates the Singapore Owned Investments in Bintan which is the resort side vs the locals side of Bintan. Its a stark difference between inside the custom and outside. The Inside is very neat, clean with well manicured grass but the outside is mud, uneven roads and zinc houses.
Finally after 90mins again, we are back to the ferry terminal with nth to do! We were scared we missed the ferry!
The deli on the ferry! The business is brisk cos it was dinner time and quite a handful of people bought food despite the ridiculous markup.
The 4 happy campers! Cant wait for the next trip! We hope to go either Koh Samui, Krabi or even Langkawi! =)
