Wednesday, July 04, 2007 i was looking at my blog omg i wrote so much. the post are much longer than the older ones. o well. almost forgot to mention this, on mon, my boss surprised us by bringing all of us out for lunch. i had a prior date with peijun and had to cancel it at the 11th hr. omg so sorry hon cos the boss only told us at 2. i mean cant she give us more advance warning since its gonna b buffet so i can save $2.80 on my mr bean b'fast. well tt aside we lunched at the quality hotel and the food was nt bad given the price tag of $12.90+++ their fish was o so fresh. and the best part was staying there till like 2+ b4 we cabbed bk to the office and we taught the partners zong zi mi ma but they didnt really get it bt o wells. we still played along although it was wrong. i wanted to try the $3 laksa the nxt time cos there's this balloon there tt promotes the laksa but i had laksa yest for lunch on a hungry stomach and it gave me the runs and caused me much embarrassment at the client's place due to the more than frequent visits to the loo so i guess i'll b staying away laksa for some time now. but i definitely wanna try the midnight buffet one day. and one of the client was telling my senior tt orchard hotel has cheap n gd buffet too. too bad i suck at buffet. sometimes i wish i was more of a vacuum cleaner. did u notice tt some skinny ppl eat alot? how ironic. my case was tt i just cant overeat cos i've had a horrible experience with the discomfort following tt so i always keep myself in check. just got this frm char babe's cam. it was for the celebration of chunnies 23rd bdae!!! i realised tt 23 is alot of ppl's fave no! bryan's my dad i think and my colleague. such a lucky no. tt aside we planned on eating kim gary bt we were late and there was this super long queue outside so we went to the nxt nearest chinese food which was dian xiao er. my mom told me b4 tt their food is nice but i've nve tried it b4 and we ordered a set for 3 and have 4 person eating until we almost died of bloating. the spinach with century egg with salted egg in my opinion was the best and there was also this mock abalone? which felt pretty real. their soup was nt bad too. perhaps nxt time i'll go try the branch in chinatown which i think gives it a more olden feel. the price is reasonable too! and after tt we went shopping ard and settled for secret recipe to get a cake for chunnie but they were closing so we ended up getting a slice and enjoying it with the seabreeze in our hair. its such a nice day to b chilling! and i was talking to my friends in orlando omg my lead has a baby now and they ask why i aint bk this summer. such a bummer i wish i was there too. aww.. i intended to go there nxt summer on an enroute to visit my aunt in hawaii cos i am lazy and i still want someone to wash my clothes while i'm on hols. but we'll see how my finances go. but i'm also intrigued by hochimin and angkorwat. well its still some time away so til then =) after sc, we cabbed down to botanic gardens for some family day movie under the stars org by my aunt and i was shocked by the number of police stationed along the tiny stretch of cluny rd. i shld have known tt some minister was gonna grace tt event. and some mat was even laid on the ground for him and cordon off to public. it was really enjoyable as it was happy feet and i didnt catch it tt time when it was shown in the cinemas but it was really humid n sticky and i was controlling my bladder due to my thing against using public toilets nt to mention a crowded out one. and hungry too as we didnt think to bring much food there. we had only a mac meal albeit upsized b/w us. it starts to get better as the sky turned darker as some family packed up and go as their child arent exactly concentrating and i'm proud of myself for lasting thru the show and walking my way out to tanglin rd and then to tanglin mall and after which walking all the way to forum b4 i gave in and had mac as dinner/supper as all decent slow food were closed by then. well tmr is thur and i love thur cos i absolutely lurve the urban section of the ST and after thur is sweet sweet fri and its mjing session! 2 more wks to end of pa. i'll b out on audit til my last wk of intern but i miss eating at tp despite the horrible train rides before n after work n not to mention the lunch time crowd bt at least i'll b guaranteed a clean sitting toilet and not some squatting toilet in ulu ulu eunos where i've nt even step on for a gd 20 yrs of my life. last sat was our planned trip to science center. omg i havent bn there for at least 6 mths? i frequent the macs there when i feel the need to b near the nature while mugging but seldom into the exhibition area itself and boy it was updated by some funky stuff! i love the futuristic part the most where kitchen is all computerized and the tv room's glass fogs up when the show start playing. but the most irritating part was to have the computer control u! we were in the tv rm watching this pretty piece by dunno wot orchestra but there was this incessant pop up that reminded us of our "dental appt at dunno wot time". god if life in the future was like tt i'd rather live the way i am now; being late 80% of the time. i love their art room tho the bottom right hand corner where u can doodle and not worry abt paint spilling cos its all like on computer omg. but i dont think it'll happen in this lifetime unless i'm super duper rich. and out dear jun tried the electric chair which was in fact not so electrifying. the new water park in the science center was fun! but there were more than a few exhibits tt were down for maintainence?! i think they shld do sth abt it. and we met adrain pang as we were leaving sc and he didnt look v happy. but he was certainly loving towards his son =) pardon my laziness to blog but after a hard day bent over never ending numbers, i just like to curl up on my bed with a good book. jodi picoult no less. so this is a lil overdue. i got this from tp mrt on my way to amoy for lunch last fri and my friend was fooled by its deciving packaging. but i figured tt durex needs no more advertisement since they are sorta the dominating brand. so it was in fact nivea giving away sunblock lotion amid the ultrahot rays tt has bn hitting on our shores lately. well i hate using such stuff so i gave it to my mom who treasures her porcelain fair skin more than me. =)
