We feel lonely, sometimes to the point of tears, but we don’t let those tears come because we are not supposed to cry. Or how we feel a surge of love for a partner but we don’t say anything because we’re frozen with the fear of what those words might do to the relationship.

NATIONAL FAMILY CELEBRATIONS 2010 (NFC 2010)
Most people would not have heard of this celebration. Afterall, it is not a public holiday or what not. I saw in my paper On 18th May 2010 that 27th May 2010 is in fact a have dinner with your family day! I used to have dinner with my family up to at least 4-5 times a week. However now that I have started working, its simply impossible to leave at even 6, it doesnt help tt my family have their dinner ultra early at 530 *gasp* but tts cos they sleep early =)
So this year 27th May falls on the eve of a public holiday which sometimes means bosses are in a better mood which means we may get to leave earlier! I hope you and me will be able to make it home for a home cooked meal! =)
Anyway, i digressed. National Family Celebrations is for one and all to make a commitment to our family. Be it to have dinner at home at least once a week. I have been thinking of a commitment that i can fulfill. and as you know i juz went on my virgin self drive rdtrip to truely asia and enjoyed it tremendously even tho i have yet to put up any photos due to my crazy work schedule this week. I have decided to pledge to bring my family on a road trip to truely asia in June!
I chose to pledge to bring my parents on a rd trip cos i know my mom have been wanting to go on short trips and wots better than malacca. its a mere 3 hr drive away but yummy food is aplenty there. we had initially wanted to join the Malacca trip organised by the Resident's Committee of my precint for a 2d1n rd trip but cos of my dad's uncertain work schedule we could not make it.
Thus I tot a rd trip will be more flexible for my family=) we can juz eat and stroll on jonker st at our own pace =)Plus my mom and i are clearing our leave in June and my bro is having hols so this shld work out! =)
In case you are wondering,
Organised by the National Family Council, National Family Celebrations is an annual event which celebrates and reinforces the importance of families and family life. This year, Singaporeans are encouraged to make a personal commitment to their families by being a part of the Singapore Family Pledge Movement.
To provide opportunities for Singaporeans to follow through on the pledges to their families, there are a myriad of activities under the NFC 2010 calendar – which will interest the young, the old, and everyone in between! NFC 2010 will be held from 25 May to 26 June 2010, and this year marks the 25th Anniversary of the Celebrations. For more information on NFC 2010, visit www.nfc.sg
