We feel lonely, sometimes to the point of tears, but we don’t let those tears come because we are not supposed to cry. Or how we feel a surge of love for a partner but we don’t say anything because we’re frozen with the fear of what those words might do to the relationship.

Sunday morning is the most tourisy day I've had in SH. In the morning bright and shiny, we woke up and headed to Cheng Huang Miao. A temple area located in Puxi for this Nan Xiang XLB, reportedly the best XLB in SH! and wots a trip to SH without XLB when SH is like supposedly the land of XLBs.
The restaurant is 4 storeys high, and with each level you climb, the price of the XLB gets more ex. featured below is the price for takeaway only. However the pricier option is not without justisification. Its cos they have more premium filling inside like crab roe etc.. If you are salivating, they have 2 branches in SG too! One at Bugis Junction and the other one at City Sq Mall =)
Sandy placed our orders and came bk with this poker chip! Cos it takes 20mins to steam a batch, so they serve in a systematic manner such that everyone sit down and they serve all at once, once when everyone serve finish then the 2nd batch sits and they serve and it goes on for the whole day, so the chip colour essentially also means 1 batch full of people! =) That also means you have to wait quite long for ur turn =\
Our ginger. We have to pay for our own ginger. Pay more if you want more. =X Vinegar is free flow tho'
When I tot I was gonna die of hunger and go up to heaven, the steaming XLB's arrive! There were 16 of them and we ate 8 each! almost died again cos I was too full hurhur. The xlbs were fantabulous tho! The crowd certainly doesnt lie! =)
Then we went for a walk along the super bz street of Cheng Huang Miao. We didnt go into the temple tho' cos even though its a place of worship, one have to pay to get in. Its that commercialised in China..
And pass by a beautiful garden and we didnt enter too cos it was too hot and we did not have the mood to go in! =)
Cute geese we saw in the area!
We wanted a breather and ventured to the less crowded parts and saw this little small alleys where one can go in to pray for 太岁. I have no idea how it works tho' but there are several alleys of those. Very interesting! =)
A yummy snack that Sandy recommended, but I did not try cos its like red bean paste and if i've never mention before, I'm nt into those pastey stuff.
And we also saw a mosque in that area! very unique and outside there is a vendor selling those pancakes like wot you'd see in XinJiang area of China =)
