it was realli surprising when nic msged all of us one fine sat to invite us for dinner the following sat with weifeng! its really nice tt weifeng is back again! i still remember the darn farni times and the wacky games he taught us during the chalet last yr. so not knowing tt he have aldy bn bk in sg for a mth aldy, we chose to have our dinner at muthu curry @racecourserd.
so heres the crispy papadum. this rawks. i love to dip this in curry/chilli or wotever there is. most indian food stalls sell this on its own too! yummy!
the interesting eating concept. i guess the introduced the fork n spoon juz cos its frequent by non-indians.
we selected briyani instead of the normal white rice cos we wanted to have the ultimate indian food experience.
after placing our order, this friendly waiter came ard to scoop some curry thingy onto out plate.
the reddish curry thing from wot i understood is brinjal curry and the other one is juz veggie curry. im nt a big fan of brinjal be it curry or wot so i hardly touched it but the veggie one is yums.
Their speciality fish head curry. i dont realli know how to eat fish head and im really wary of the bones etc. but never the less there are plenty of meat to go ard the 7 of us =) the curry sauce is sedap!
deep fried lady finger. first time seeing this. crunchy n yummy! =)
my fave fave fave dish for indian food has gotta b this north indian naan. we order the mixed naan basket so everyone could try the diff kind of naan =) this is a must order!
tandoori fish head. this takes 20mins to prep after ordering. it looks dry on the outside but its actually juz nice! cos this came quite late in the meal, most of us couldnt really finish it. this is also one of their speciality. if you must choose between this and the curry fish head, i'd take the curry fish head anytime.
sambal sotong. this is darn spicy. but very shiok! as nic puts it, its super chewy yet soft =) i'd order this again too! the serving is quite small for this squid tho but cos we had alot of other dishes so it was nt a prob for us.
and cos for some weird reason ms ang was late n wanted a change of venue, we headed to banana leaf curry and felt weird to have 7 pax staring at one 1 pax eating and taking up so much of their space, we order this weird icecream. we tried asking the uncle wot flavour this was cos the name was sth i couldnt decipher, he said, "they all taste the same." we werent sure wot he referred to so we were all very stunned. nevertheless kun n boon ordered the mango icecream and i took the leap of faith and order an unknown flavour.
so it came in cubes instead of the nice round scoops we are used to. the spice flavour is certainly there and the others who tasted it said its goats milk icecream. i barely tasted it.
