We feel lonely, sometimes to the point of tears, but we don’t let those tears come because we are not supposed to cry. Or how we feel a surge of love for a partner but we don’t say anything because we’re frozen with the fear of what those words might do to the relationship.

went to the Kumar show on sat night. aptly titled stripped bare and standing up. so as the name suggested, it was juz a one man talkshow and true to his word, kumar the diva had the whole house laughing for the 90mins!
I truely applaud shim for the stamina to go on talking. anyway most would not wanna spend money to watch kumar as they may feel that the stuff he say is nt intellectually challenging or its juz suan-ing the local gov't. i have to admit initially i was a little apprehensive too cos sing dollar was not very up to its expectations but kumar didnt disappoint =)
the main theme of the play is about Kumar, his life story. I guess most people see the glam side and bapok side of him but little did they know, he was the only son of a conservative hindu family and when he came out of the closet when he was in his 30s his dad did not speak to him for 7 years!!
My fave part of the play has gotta b the video montage at the end. he made this video montage since hes nt gonna wed anyway and there'll b no other better places to showcase it than during his own show! it depicted his life from a boy in monks hill secondary to him in SBC last time acting stupid etc. His family and mom spoke in the video, but i noticed his dad juz kept quite. Tho Kumar is now on talking terms with his dad, i feel that in his whole life, the only thing he wanted is to be respected for who he is and what he is doing. I realli look up to his tenacity. i <3 Kumar!
