We feel lonely, sometimes to the point of tears, but we don’t let those tears come because we are not supposed to cry. Or how we feel a surge of love for a partner but we don’t say anything because we’re frozen with the fear of what those words might do to the relationship.

Finally got to meetup with my dearest kacheng candice after so long! She suggested dinner at Ambush at Jurong Point! It used to be Billy Bombers before this =) I've passed by Ambush multiple times during my visit to JP but it never cross my mind to eat there.
The soup plus garlic bread! the soup is nice and creamy. The soup is pretty affordable at $3.50
I ordered this bruschetta. I love the salsa toppings on my bread, I have no idea P thinks its nt nice. Ambush is generous with their salsa and yums! Though one can easily make this at home too heh.
P's smoke duck Caesar salad. The smoke duck is really yummy. The previous time I had smoke duck was at Julien Bompard and the duck is so chewy that I couldn't chew through it. The one at ambush is just nice. As I'm no food connoisseur, I'm not sure how a perfect smoke duck is supposed to be like but this is good for me!
Rosti with pork sausage to share! This is yums! It has been eons since I had rosti at Marche and this is as good! The sausage is juicy too! =)
Kacheng's chicken pasta in white sauce. Looks not bad! But I was having trouble struggling with my own food such that I could not try the pasta.
My garlic prawn paella! I realli love paella and its just so difficult to make a perfect paella. The best paella I've had thus far was at the Farmers Market at Loewen's road, El Toro at Penang road and and unknown shop in miami. The one at ambush albeit is not the best, but its good enough! They are really generous with the prawns too!
P's Ambush paella which is essentially seafood paella. Although they are both paella, he said that my paella rice tasted different from his.
We were all too full for dessert after the numerous dishes. I would definitely recommend Ambush for an affordable meal! It cost us $60 in total without any credit card discounts despite the diff types of food we had! Definitely value for money! =)
How did you spend your fathers day this year? My family celebrated fathers day late this year cos i was in bkk during the actual day so we missed out on those fathers day promotional set meal. but nevertheless my bro suggested going putien this year!
Though it have been ard for some time, i have yet to try it! so here we are! =)
Spinach cook in 3 eggs. its one of my fave veg dishes so if you notice if i were to go to chinese restaurant, i'll tend to order this quite a bit! =) this is yummy! in my humble opinion, putien's 3egg spinach is nicer than 店小二cos i feel that the店小二's version have somewhat a sandy taste though i've never really tasted sand before.
Sliced cold pork! I first had this with cheukman and bestie in the chongqing grilled fish restaurant and ordered it again in Putien! This time around, its non-spicy which is just nice for my dad who dont take spicy food! =) Everyone loved this. even though theres a layer of fat, it didnt feel sinful or fatty at all.
Bamboo Clam cooked in garlic which my bro ordered. To say the truth, its my first time eating bamboo clams but i've always found them interesting. they taste pretty normal like every other shell fish =) taste not bad too
P request for this, fried century egg dish. how weird is this? i've never seen it around. but its century egg cooked in sweet and sour pork style! This is heavenly! a must order at putien if you are into century eggs =)
We wanted fish but we didnt want a huge steam fish so we got this, sea bass fired in red wine. tho it doesnt look like a fish dish but this is nice! =)
Fried chicken (half) this is pretty ordinary. at least its not dry =)
This was supposed to be some pork rib dish so we were quite perplex when it appeared like dong po rou. but its just as well. This is totally soft, tender, yummy and it just melts in your mouth! =) We love this!
Fried Rice. The fried rice though look normal, its actually very well done. or at least in our case even after we cleared the plate of fried rice, there were hardly any oil stains on the plate commonly found in other fried rice dish =) so it made me believe that putien is healthy! even my mom feels that pu tien's food is less oily generally as compared to dian xiao er =)
Our Tea! we chose Ju Pu. its actually ju hua cha + pu er =) cool isnt it! nt alot of restaurants have this, but if they do, order this to try! my bro and i both love this combi =)
and how can we end without the dessert! clockwise from the right, pumpkin puree with icecream, orh nee, white fungus with red date. according to my bro, putien is famous for their orh nee and when i tried it, its really yummy! i still love the white fungus no matter wot. its like cheap man's bird nest haha =)
